2018 Liam Mellows Hurling and Camogie Summer Camp
Tuesday, 21st August to Friday 24th August
The camp will run from 10am to 1:30pm. 4-day Registration for is €40 for the first child; €30 for the second child from the same family and €20 for third and fourth child.
You can also register for individual days at a cost of €10/ child/ day.
The camp includes coaching and fun games. It is an ideal opportunity for children between 4 and 12 years to continue their schools or club hurling/camogie. Coaching will be provided by fully qualified coaches who are experienced in coaching in schools and at camps. The camp is open to non-members and members. If your child is new to hurling, don't worry, hurls and helmets will be provided.

Does my child need to be playing hurling or camogie to attend the camp?
No, the camp is open to current players and those who wish to play for the first time. All children, no matter what their skill level, get to take part and enjoy learning to play.
Do I need to be a member of Liam Mellows GAA Club?
No, the camp is open to non-members and members.
What should my child bring to the camp?
- Packed Lunch & Drink
- Hurley & Helmet (we will have some spares if you are new to the game)
- Suitable playing gear, tracksuit, shorts, runners, boots
- Rain jacket and changes of gear on wet days
- A Towel.
What time should I arrive?
Registration will be open from 9:30am on Tuesday. We'd recommend that you arrive 15-20 minutes early on the first day to allow collection of all your child's details.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, please bring a print-off of your registration or your details on the Eventbrite mobile phone app to facilitate registration. If you do not remember to bring these details, do not worry we'll still process registration on the day.
What if my child has a medical condition?
Details of any Medical Conditions/Allergies will be collected by our Coaches at the time of Registration. Please have these ready in advance.
What is the policy regarding photographs taken during the camp?
We would like to share the positive camp experience so Summer Camp photos may appear in local newspapers and/or Liam Mellows website/social media. We comply with the GAA Guidelines on the use of Photographic Images and maintaining Web Sites in GAA clubs.

What is the policy regarding bullying taken during the camp?
We want all Children to enjoy the Camp. Bullying, name-calling, teasing or disruptive behaviour will not be accepted and will be addressed in an appropriate manner by our Camp Coaches and in accordance with GAA Code of Best Practice in Youth Sport. Significant misbehaviour may result in the participant being suspended from the camp; no refund will be given.
